Welcome to Stone Mountain Kikos!
As a mixed animal veterinarian for the first 12 years of my career, I saw many goats with severe parasitism. Intestinal parasites seemed to plague these animals in the moist, humid southeast. Because Kiko goats originated from New Zealand, the climate is more like the environment in the southeastern, U.S. better suiting these animals for our conditions. After much research and discussion with other goat ranchers we chose to start a Kiko herd. We have chosen the Kiko breed of goat for their hardiness, good mothering ability, parasite resistance and ability to efficiently convert forage into meat.
